The Kruys team did not get any further than that, and all in all, Volendam played a very poor game. “We create quite a lot of opportunities or moments that can be a chance. We do too little with that. And at times when we really have to prevent, we do not protect our keeper and shoot them up close. Then you give two goals away and that will really have to be done in the Eredivisie,” says Kruys.
Preparation is done
Last week FC Volendam fell hard against NAC Breda and lost it 6-1. So today there was lost. “In principle, I look back on this preparation. We have almost no injured players. In terms of results and play it could have been better,” Kruys looks back.
Next Saturday the Eredivisie will start for FC Volendam with an away game against SC Heerenveen (kick -off at 8 p.m.).
