FC Utrecht will most likely strengthen itself with midfielder Zidane Iqbal from Manchester United. The negotiations are in the final phase.
Zidane Iqbal is a 20-year-old midfielder who plays for the Iraq national team. He can play in both an offensive and a defensive role. His preference, however, is defensive.
He made his debut in 2021 on behalf of Manchester United, now trained by former FC Utrecht coach Erik ten Hag. That happened during United’s Champions League match against the Swiss Young Boys, where he entered the line a minute before the end.
FC Utrecht has been working on him for months. He is seen as a very great talent.
