Despite a wonderful escape in the extra time of the regular playing time, the European adventure of FC Twente has come to an end in the north of Norway. The team of trainer Joseph Oosting was in the return of the intermediate round of the Europa League against the Norwegian FK Bodø/Glimt never herself, but for a long time it seemed on the way to a place in the best sixteen in the Europa League. In the extra time it seemed to go wrong, but FC Twente managed to drag an extension out of the fire in a miraculous way by returning to 3-2. In that extension it went completely wrong with another two counter goals (5-2), with which the home built up 2-1 evaporated.
