FC St. Pauli has signed goalkeeper Sascha Burchert, the second division soccer team announced, without giving details of the contract period.
The 32-year-old veteran was recently without a club and therefore did not cost a fee. Burchert was active for Hertha BSC and SpVgg Greuther Fürth, among others.
Born in Berlin, he played 21 games in the Bundesliga and 132 games in the second division.
The actual goalkeeper Vasilj broke his left little finger in mid-July before the start of the 2nd division season and is out.
