Curious decision
That’s why St. Pauli plays at the Millerntor away away

When FC St. Pauli runs on the Millerntor, a home game is coming up. Logical. But everything turns out differently in August-another team has the home right in the DFB Cup.
FC St. Pauli plays its game in the first round of the DFB Cup in the Millerntor Stadium at home. As the club announced, the host regional league team Eintracht Norderstedt and the Bundesliga club agreed on the Kiezkicker venue as a venue.
“Since we can play our home games with our U23 at Norderstedt, it is only logical that Eintracht can now play at the Millerntor,” said the commercial manager of FC St. Pauli, Wilken. Norderstedt’s President Julia Karsten-Plambeck added: “We had very pleasant and solution-oriented conversations.”
It is planned that the fans of Eintracht Norderstedt will stay on the main and the north stands. For St. Pauli’s spectators, the back straight and the south grandstand remain.
Actually, an exchange of home right in the DFB Cup is not allowed. But Norderstedt had given the Millerntor in advance as an alternative to Edmund-Plambeck Stadium at home-so it is now possible to play the game on St. Pauli.
Norderstedt had qualified for the DFB Cup in the final of the Hamburg Cup competition with a 5: 4 in a penalty shootout against the USC Paloma. The first round against the St. Pauli will kick off on August 16 at 3:30 p.m. The clubs want to inform you promptly about ticket sales.
