After the 10th matchday, FC Schalke 04 greets you as leaders of the 2nd Bundesliga. Head coach Miron Muslic’s team has already achieved eight wins, only losing on match days two and five. There were narrow 0-1 defeats against 1. FC Kaiserslautern and Holstein Kiel.
An important factor: In the 1-0 win against SV Darmstadt 98, S04 kept a clean sheet for the fifth time this season. In any case, Schalke 04 only conceded five goals in the league.
The just 20-year-old left-back Vitalie Becker, who has been called into the starting line-up by Miron Muslic in all ten league games and in the first round of the cup, also played a part in the Knappen’s successful run. “My family is very proud and is in the stadium every time,” the Bottrop native told club media: “Every game is a highlight for me.”

The left-footed player made the final jump from the second team to the professionals in the summer. In the previous season, Becker played in the fourth division, but now he is a regular at the second division team.
