FC Schalke 04 | Revealed: Mini transfer for FC Bayern in Ouédraogo poker

Assan Ouédraogo is one of Germany’s greatest midfield talents, and the 17-year-old has become an integral part of the squad of second division club FC Schalke 04. But the youngster is in demand and FC Bayern are also said to be thinking about signing him. Details about the possible transfer fee have now been revealed.

FC Bayern Munich would have to pay a transfer fee of just twelve to 15 million euros for Schalke’s exceptional talent Assan Ouédraogo. “Sky” reports this with reference to the contractually agreed exit clause for national competitors.

Ouédraogo currently has a youth contract with FC Schalke 04, which will automatically be converted into his first professional contract on his 18th birthday in May next year. “Sport Bild” recently reported that several exit clauses could come into effect in the then valid working paper from July 1, 2024. However, the amount varies depending on the club affiliation.

While national competitors such as FC Bayern have to pay a maximum of 15 million euros, clubs from abroad are asked to pay a little more. According to “Sky”, at least 20 million euros would then be due. According to the TV station, Ouédraogo could definitely imagine a move to the German record champions.

AC Milan wants to meet with Schalke bosses

But FC Bayern is not alone in courting the versatile midfielder.

AC Milan in particular is one of the serious competitors. The Italians’ interest is the most concrete of all the competitors; a meeting with Schalke officials is scheduled to take place next week. The Milanese are said to have been close to the U17 European champions last summer.

The Revierklub had already handed over another top talent to the Rossoneri in Malick Thiaw in the summer of 2022.

Assan Ouédraogo has played in all of FC Schalke 04’s competitive games so far in the current second division season. He even scored a goal on his professional debut for S04 on the first matchday against HSV.
