Bundesliga promoted FC Schalke 04 has found a new head coach. Frank Kramer will take over the Royal Blues in the future. The Revierklub will officially present its new man on the sidelines on Tuesday afternoon.

Coaches, assistants, scouts, physios – they all did their part and will now develop us further. Frank Kramer is a leader, a leader. I start the round with joyful happiness. Personally, I am very happy. It is the first PK as a first division team in a year. On the other hand, I’m happy to see some familiar faces. And I am happy to welcome Frank Kramer.
The exchange with the Supervisory Board was, as Rouven and I were used to, very familiar and closed. We took our time and that is our duty and our right. We took our time to come to a good decision. It was not only to consider which person is now following. But also what football Schalke 04 will play. We have dealt with the analysis and our ideas – the goal can only be relegation – for the new season. We want to continue on our way, the Schalke way.
We want to build expertise at Schalke and want to create an environment for the coaches who work at Schalke in which they and the players can develop.

Frank Kramer is the new coach at Bundesliga promoted FC Schalke 04. He succeeds Mike Büskens, who, as planned, is returning to his post as an assistant.
Kramer was released from Arminia Bielefeld at the end of April. The 50-year-old had previously looked after SpVgg Greuther Fürth, Fortuna Düsseldorf and the German U20 selection. There is therefore no transfer fee for the new coach.
