FC Schalke 04 has found what they are looking for in the 3rd league in search of further reinforcements for the offensive area. At least that’s what a recent media report says.
According to “Sky” information, the Royal Blues should be in line for Luca Marseiler, who is currently hunting for goals for Viktoria Köln.
The 26-year-old is currently playing his third season for the cathedral town team and is an undisputed regular at Viktoria. He was in Cologne’s starting line-up 19 times in the current third division season, scoring eight goals.
According to the media report, the Schalke club bosses particularly like him because of his flexibility. The Munich-born player is considered a versatile player who is two-footed and has already shown strong performances in various attacking positions for the Cologne team.
Schalke flirt only has a contract until the summer
According to “Sky” information, there is said to have already been direct contact between FC Schalke and Viktoria Köln. However, this hasn’t been really concrete yet; the talks are said to be still “in the early stages”.
Especially in the offensive line, the Gelsenkirchen team is still lacking consistent players this season. Kenan Karaman is still Schalke’s top scorer in 2023/2024 with a meager five goals this season. Even at the start of the second half of the season last Saturday against Hamburger SV (0:2), the Knappen’s offensive remained pale again.
