Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln found what they were looking for in defense before the transfer window closed.
As the “Express” reported on Thursday evening, FC Nikola Soldo, the son of the former Cologne coach and Bundesliga professional Zvonimir Soldo, is said to have committed.
Soldo junior is scheduled to complete the first training session at Geißbockheim on Friday, so the 21-year-old central defender is coming to Cologne from Lokomotiva Zagreb. He is set to replace injured centre-back Jeff Chabot.
Zvonimir Soldo coached FC from 2009 to 2010. As a player, he shaped a decade at VfB Stuttgart, with whom he won the 1997 DFB Cup.
