FC Emmen will play in the Eredivisie again next year. In a swirling Riwal Hoogwerkers Stadium in Dordrecht, the leader was too strong for FC Dordrecht. Rui Mendes was again the big man for the Drenthe by scoring the only goal: 0-1.
FC Emmen pushed hard in the first half. Romeny and Kharchouch, among others, had opportunities and chances on the opening goal. But who else but Rui Mendes gave FC Emmen the lead just before half-time. He was able to get a beautiful pass from El Azzouzi under control and outwitted goalkeeper Bossin with a lob.
