Games on October 18th & 19th
The second round of the 2022/23 DFB Cup was drawn on Sunday afternoon. Defending champions RB Leipzig will face Hamburger SV on October 18th or 19th. The draw was made live on “ZDF” by paraswimmer Josia Topf and DFB President Bernd Neuendorf. There were two lottery pots: the first with the teams from the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga and a second with the third division Waldhof Mannheim (against 1. FC Nürnberg) and SV 07 Elversberg (against VfL Bochum), regional league participants VfB Lübeck ( against Mainz 05) and Oberliga club Stuttgarter Kickers (against Eintracht Frankfurt). The final of the DFB Cup will take place on June 3, 2023 in the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
