“El Nacional” reported on Friday that the Munich team, in the person of coach Julian Nagelsmann, had already made contact with central defender Ronald Araújo.
The 22-year-old is said to have asked Barca for a raise in connection with a new contract, but the report says the Catalans do not want to grant him that. So things are “not going as planned,” they say. Araújo’s current working paper runs until summer 2023.
Barcelona are said to have presented the young Uruguayan with a new offer, but this is said to be far below the demands of the central defender, who has been a regular in the first team since last season.
