The poker surrounding Anthony Gordon continues to escalate. FC Barcelona are said to be close to signing the offensive player from Newcastle United. Is FC Bayern threatened with a transfer defeat?
Gordon is “95 percent” an FC Barcelona player, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said on his YouTube channel on Wednesday evening. The Spanish champions are said to have reached an agreement with the 25-year-old. The left winger is apparently also aiming for a move to Barca.
The medical check could take place as early as Thursday. FC Barcelona probably wants to get ahead of the competition.
The Catalans are said to be prepared to transfer around 70 million to Newcastle United as a fixed fee. Romano calculates that bonus payments could increase the deal to a total of over 80 million euros. The club from the north of England with its owners from Saudi Arabia is said to have accepted the offer.
Will FC Bayern come away empty-handed?
