FC Bayern sets Gnabry transfer fee

Serge Gnabry’s sporting future at FC Bayern is apparently on shaky ground. The national player has long been considered a potential candidate for removal from the record champions, provided there is a suitable offer on the table. How high Munich’s desired transfer fee is is now apparently clear.

There have been repeated rumors about Serge Gnabry leaving FC Bayern in the past. Since the signing of Bryan Zaragoza, these rumors have now gained significantly more substance. Quite a few believe that Gnabry will have to make way for the new addition next summer.

According to a “Bild” report, the German record champions would actually be willing to sell Gnabry after the 2023/24 season despite his contract running until 2026. However, the offer also has to be right. Apparently the Munich stand are demanding a little more than 50 million euros for the winger today. If a club were to offer this amount, FC Bayern would probably give the green light for the transfer.

Gnabry is not always in top form at FC Bayern

However, it remains to be seen whether a club will offer the requested sum. The fact is that Gnabry has not been able to fully exploit his potential in recent years. Good phases during a season were regularly followed by bad ones. In addition, there is a not inconsiderable susceptibility to injury, which forces the 28-year-old to repeatedly take forced breaks. The Stuttgart native is also currently injured and, in the worst case scenario, could be out for FC Bayern for two to three months.

In general, there will probably be no shortage of interested parties in Gnabry’s case. His name is repeatedly associated with prominent clubs. Whether one of these clubs would be willing to pay over 50 million for the national player is another matter.
