Ryan Gravenberch looks back on his debut season at Bayern with negative feelings and does not rule out a change. “I don’t want to experience a year like that again,” the 21-year-old midfielder told the Dutch daily “De TelegraafAnd with a view to next year, he announced: “I just want to play more, preferably at Bayern Munich. And otherwise at a club where I play 100 percent.”
Gravenberch’s contract, which will take part in the European Championships starting in a week’s time with the Dutch U21s, is valid until 2027. “It could be that there are plans with me. I haven’t really talked to the coach about it yet, it will come after the European Championship,” he said.
After the commitment of Konrad Laimer (26; free transfer from RB Leipzig) and the upcoming deal with Raphaël Guerreiro (29; free transfer from BVB), the “kicker” recently reported that Gravenberch could reorient himself – possibly in the form of a loan. He has recently been linked to Premier League clubs Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal in the rumor mill.

His first Bundesliga season was sobering. Although Gravenberch made 24 appearances, he was only a substitute in 21 games. “Certainly I expected to get more chances and minutes of action than I got in the end. I had done very good preparation and thought I deserved it,” said Gravenberch, who switched from Ajax Amsterdam to FC Bayern in the summer of 2021 for 18.5 million euros.
