The referee appointments for the semi-final duels in the Champions League are fixed. While Bayern face an old friend, the Arsenal game is in German hands.

Good referee omen for Bayern Munich: The Portuguese Joao Pinheiro will referee the semi-final second leg of the German record champions in the Champions League against defending champions Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday (9 p.m. / on DAZN and in the t-online live ticker). The 38-year-old has so far led two Munich games in the premier class.

In the current season (2:1 at PSV Eindhoven) and last season (3:1 against Slovan Bratislava), Bayern left the pitch as winners. After the 4:5 in the first leg, coach Vincent Kompany’s team needs a win again this time to make it to the final.

The other semi-final second leg on Tuesday between Arsenal FC and Atlético Madrid (first leg 1-1) is firmly in German hands. The Berlin referee Daniel Siebert will lead the game in London. All assistants also come from Germany. Bastian Dankert from Rostock works as a video assistant.
