FC Bayern Munich is probably making an offer for Leipzig’s Konrad Laimer

Personnel planning at the German record champions is progressing. Now the next high-profile transfer is apparently in the offing – from a competitor.

Only a year ago, coach Julian Nagelsmann, defender Dayot Upamecano and midfielder Marcel Sabitzer joined FC Bayern from RB Leipzig. Not only did the German record champions achieve top-class transfers, but a direct competitor from the Bundesliga was also weakened in terms of personnel. Is there a similar game in the summer of 2022?

Because as “Sky” reports, FC Bayern wants to poach another top performer from RB Leipzig: Konrad Laimer should therefore be in the focus of Munich. And further: Bayern are said to have already made an offer for the 25-year-old.

The problem: According to the report, the ideas of Bayern and Leipzig are still far apart. RB demand 30 million euros for the Austrian – apparently too much for Bayern.

Laimer “absolutely” wants to move to Munich

However: Laimer’s contract with the Saxons expires in 2023 – so the club could only collect a fee this year. In addition, Laimer wanted to switch to Munich.

So it’s quite possible that Bayern can report the commitment of the next top performer from Saxony as perfect.

Munich’s interest in Laimer has been known for a long time. The Austrian international is a formative figure at RB Leipzig headquarters, played in 42 competitive games last season, scoring five goals and providing six assists. Leipzig had taken Laimer from RB Salzburg in 2017 for 7 million euros.
