Uli Hoeneß defended the Müller-Aus at “Blickpunkt Sport” and sees parallels with other legends that “did not want to see that they are no longer so good”.

In the eyes of Uli Hoeneß, it was still the right decision not to offer Müller a new working paper. Hoeneß also comes to a similar conclusion: “A person like Thomas Müller, a great athlete and – as I also believe – a great manager who would also see FC Bayern well for the next many years. (…) I have never made a secret of the fact that Thomas Müller is one of those who we absolutely have to bind to the club,” said Hoeneß.
