The Munich native, who made the leap to the pros in the summer of 2021 and played 102 Bundesliga minutes in a total of four games, was always aware that the perspective of regular playing time with the record champions was limited at the current point in his development. “It’s Bayern Munich, they can buy any player. The question of the future remains. Tillman’s contract in Munich runs until 2024. Glasgow secured a purchase option as part of the loan deal, but a buyback option in favor of Bayern is also included in the working paper. Tillman was flexible with regard to the coming season: “I just want to play as much as possible. I don’t care, but I don’t really care where that will be. I feel comfortable here, very much so. I’m bringing in my performances, which I think they like quite well here at Rangers. But I could also imagine that Bayern really like it. Therefore … exit open.”
