Pini Zahavi is one of the most well-known advisors in the football world. The players’ agent represents numerous professionals, such as Robert Lewandowski from FC Bayern. Now the 78-year-old is receiving support from a long-time German TV reporter.
For a long time, Max Bielefeld worked at “Sky” as a transfer expert and moderated a wide variety of formats. The 33-year-old is now joining star consultant Pini Zahavi. The Israeli is notorious in the scene. Former Bayern President Uli Hoeneß once described the agent as “a greedy piranha”.
This was preceded by months of contract poker between Munich and David Alaba. According to Hoeneß’ information in “Sport1 Doppelpass”, Zahavi demanded a fee “in the double-digit million range” for himself as part of the negotiations. Ultimately, the talks failed and Alaba moved on from Bayern to Real Madrid.
Other football stars such as Neymar, Robert Lewandowski and Christopher Nkunku are also among Zahavi’s clients.

“Germany is very interesting for us. With Robert Lewandowski and Christopher Nkunku, we have two top players there, but we see even more potential,” the intermediary is quoted as saying by “Sport Bild”. So far, Zahavi has mostly worked alone: ”But since the agency has grown steadily in recent years, I have decided to have my own people in every important market.”
Bielefeld now also belongs to this group of employees. “I’ve known Max for a few years. He fits perfectly into our team and I’m glad he chose us,” revealed Zahavi about his “new signing”.
Further details regarding the contract period and salary are not yet known. Instead of reporting on transfers, Bielefeld will in future act as a broker itself.
