Leroy Sané demonstrated his goalscoring abilities with his first brace for Galatasaray Istanbul.

The 29-year-old took the lead in the 2-1 (1-0) away win against neighbors Istanbul Basaksehir shortly before half-time (45th + 3), before scoring the final point in the 61st minute.

For Sané, who recently made headlines because of a scuffle at the Munich Oktoberfest and is fighting for a return to the national team, it was the number two and three goals of the season in the Süper Lig.

With 25 points from nine games, defending champions Galatasaray remain at the top of the table, ahead of Trabzonspor (20).

Former DFB captain Ilkay Gündogan was also in the starting line-up and was substituted in the 74th minute.
