Still without a Bundesliga appearance

Nestory Irankunda has not yet played for FC Bayern in the Bundesliga, but he developed well in the second team. Now the Australian and the Munich team are taking the next step: the 18-year-old winger will spend the rest of the season on loan at Grasshopper Club Zurich in the Swiss Super League. His contract with FC Bayern is valid until 2028.
“Nestory integrated very well after moving from Australia to Europe and repeatedly showed his great talent to our amateurs. We are convinced that he will take the next sporting steps in Zurich in the top Swiss league. We will continue to support him very closely on his journey.”
At GCZ, sports director Stephan Schwarz explained: “Nestory Irankunda is a young and exciting offensive talent who will enliven the offensive with his dynamism and skills.” Irankunda himself described the move as “a great opportunity for me to develop in the highest Swiss league to move forward.”
