FC Bayern | Insider: Real Madrid are not planning a “crazy” Davies offer

Alphonso Davies apparently wants to move from FC Bayern to Real Madrid. The European football heavyweights would still have to agree on a transfer fee for the left-back – not an easy undertaking.

As transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports in his “Daily Briefing”, Real Madrid will not pay “a crazy amount” for Davies. This message can be heard from the immediate club environment.

The Royals apparently believe they are in a good negotiating position. Accordingly, Davies wants to move to the Spanish capital. “Very positive” discussions between Real Madrid and the players’ side are said to be the reason for this.

For the Primera División league leaders, one thing is certain: the amount of 70 million euros recently reported in the media will probably not be transferred to FC Bayern.

FC Bayern: Confusion about Davies’ desired sum

In any case, there are currently different reports about how much money the German record champions would really demand in the event of Davies’ failure. According to “Sky”, Munich’s desired sum for the left-back is currently 50 to 60 million euros.

The TV station also recently contradicted rumors from Spain that Real Madrid had already made an initial offer of 35 million euros.

Davies still has a contract with FC Bayern until 2025. The Canadian moved from the Vancouver Whitecaps to Säbener Straße in January 2019.

Sports director Max Eberl announced during his presentation that he wanted to continue discussions with Davies’ advisor. A fundamental decision will be made in the summer: extend or sell. “No club wants to lose players for free,” emphasized Eberl. A clear indication that FC Bayern expects a decision from Davies. Real Madrid will be watching closely.
