FC Bayern’s transfer summer started very promisingly. According to reports, the record champions have already secured two stars in Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari. An insider is convinced: Another prominent player could move to Säbener Straße thanks to the support of Harry Kane.
Is Harry Kane actively initiating a summer transfer from FC Bayern? Ex-ManUnited chief scout Mick Brown believes: Yes. He suggested to “FootballInsider” that Kane could play a crucial role in Marcus Rashford’s move to Munich.
“Bayern Munich will already know everything there is to know about Rashford. It’s not that he’s an unknown. They will have kept an eye on his performances and feel that he fits well into the team. But it always helps if there are other connections,” said Brown about the direct connection between Kane and Rashford, who are currently at the World Cup together with the England national team.
Will Kane complete Rashford deal?
Kane could play an “important role” in convincing Rashford to move to Bayern, the insider added. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he [Kane] would put in a good word and talk about the possibility of a transfer to Bayern Munich. This also works the other way: Bayern can ask Kane if he has any concerns or insecurities about him [Rashford] has.”
It cannot be ruled out that Kane “can contribute a lot to helping Bayern get a deal with Rashford over the finish line,” the former scout speculated.
Will Rashford sit on the bench at FC Bayern?
According to consistent reports, Rashford’s name currently appears in Munich’s transfer plans, but does not play the biggest role. The English international would probably only be intended for the record champions as a luxury backup for the offensive wings. It is not known whether he would be comfortable with this role.
The 28-year-old did some advertising on his own behalf last season as a loan player at FC Barcelona. Despite good performances and a purchase option, the Catalans decided against a permanent commitment, which would have been possible for around 30 million euros.
