With a break in the club since 2015

©IMAGO

Holger Seitz will apparently no longer work as a coach for the second team at FC Bayern from next season. According to Sky, it is planned that the 51-year-old will resign from his position – it is unclear whether he will take on a new role within the club or leave the record champions.

Seitz has been working in Munich in various roles since 2015, with interruptions. First he took over the U19 and then the U17, from 2019 to 2020 he was head of the youth department and then became coach of the second team for a year. He took on this role again in January 2023.

During his time with Bayern’s youth team, Seitz was involved in the development of many of today’s professionals. A look at the TM database shows all the players he has coached over the last eleven years, sorted by today’s market value. Five current Bayern professionals are there: Jamal Musiala, Aleksandar Pavlovic, Lennart Karl, Alphonso Davies and Josip Stanisic. But today’s Angelo Stiller from Stuttgart, Malik Tillman from Leverkusen, Marco Friedl from Bremen and Benedict Hollerbach from Mainz are also among them.
