Hasan Salihamidžić is apparently right before returning to top European football. Does the former Munich team go to another ex-club?
Is there a real comeback hammer on? A surprising return from Hasan Salihamidžić could apparently be imminent. The former sports director of FC Bayern is acted as a potential new sports director at the Italian record champions Juventus Turin. As the Italian newspaper “Tuttosport” reports, his name has been discussed in the club’s surroundings for months, and now the conversations seem to be much more concrete.
Salihamidžić, who was active as a player for Juventus from 2007 to 2011, also known as “old lady”, apparently has good chances on the vacant post. In addition to him, Ricky Massara, Diego Lopez and Matteo Tognozzi are also under discussion.
Salihamidžić apparently receives influential support from Giorgio Chiellini. The former professional, who is currently working in the Juve scouting department and is soon to act as a “director of football strategy”, has a high opinion of Salihamidžić and is positive about cooperation.
Since his involuntary farewell to FC Bayern in 2023, Salihamidžić has been without a permanent club and part of the Kings League. Nevertheless, he strives to return to “traditional football”. After a disappointing season, Juventus is planning a sporty restart. The question of the future coach remains open – whether Igor Tudor will remain is unclear.
The decision about the new sports director should be a crucial step for the upheaval at Juventus. Damien Comolli will soon start as General Director and will also take on a key role in the new management structure of the association.
In addition to Salihamidžić, Ricky Massara (without a club, most recently Stade Rennes), Diego Lopez (without a club, most recently RC Lens) and Matteo Tognozzi (without a club, most recently FC Granada). Salihamidžić was released as sports director at FC Bayern almost two years ago.
