Basketball cup winner FC Bayern Munich has impressively ended its series of defeats in the EuroLeague.
On Thursday, coach Andrea Trinchieri’s team won their home game against Red Star Belgrade with 87:80 (41:38). After the last four bankruptcies in a row, the play-off ranks in Europe’s top division are still three wins away.
Cassius Winston and Vladimir Lucic led Munich to success with 20 points each. After the third quarter, which Bayern had lost 11:18, it looked like the fifth defeat.
In the final section, however, the hosts turned up the heat, scored eleven points more than their opponents and secured victory.
