FC Bayern | Details revealed! That would cost Trippier the Munich team

In the last 24 hours or so, there have been increasing signs that FC Bayern are pursuing Kieran Trippier from Newcastle United. However, there are a few high hurdles standing in the way of the Munich-based company on the way to a perfect deal. Now details came to light.

FC Bayern has reportedly put out feelers for 33-year-old England international Kieran Trippier from Newcastle United.

The right-back is exactly the type of player that the Munich team would like to sign in the winter. However, an agreement still seems to be a long way away. Even in basic things we are probably still a bit apart.

According to “Bild” football director Christian Falk, Bayern are aiming for a loan, while Newcastle would prefer to sell the veteran, whose contract ends in the summer of 2025, to Munich for 15 million euros. “Sky” writes of a fixed change or a purchase obligation in the range of 13 to 14 million euros.

FC Bayern would have to invest a whopping sum

In addition, according to Falk, Trippier should demand no less than 10 million euros in annual salary if he works in the Bavarian capital. With a contract until the summer of 2025, the package would cost the German record champions a whopping 30 million euros.

Numbers that might give you pause on Säbener Strasse. Although Trippier is experienced at the highest level and is still a regular player for the Magpies at the age of 33, the investment is quite tough. Especially since we’ll have to keep our eyes open for a younger replacement in the foreseeable future.

However, a positive agreement between Bayern, Newcastle and Trippier does not seem to be ruled out.

Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen confirmed on Sunday: “It is known that we are working on signing players,” but also made it clear: “But we won’t do anything stupid or irresponsible. If we find someone, we will get them. And if not, then not.”
