FC Bayern conceded a basket from Eberl and Krösche

Markus Krösche, who has recently been repeatedly traded as a potential new sports director at FC Bayern, sees his future as the sports director of Eintracht Frankfurt. The 42-year-old emphasized this after the 2-0 defeat of Hesse in the DFB Cup final against RB Leipzig.

In an interview with the TV channel “Sky”, Krösche answered with a clear “yes” to the question asked twice whether he would also be in charge of the sporting fortunes of Eintracht Frankfurt in the coming year.

“Sky” recently brought Krösche and Max Eberl, sporting director of the RB Leipzig cup winners, into play as the desired solution for the remaining Bayern management for the vacant sporting leadership position at the German record champions since the dismissal of sports director Hasan Salihamidzic. In addition, one should see a good solution in Stefan Reuter from FC Augsburg.

Incidentally, Eberl also took a stand in the final and the words of the former Bayern youth player do not suggest that he is leaving Leipzig and returning to the Bavarian capital.

“What is reported is not true,” Eberl clearly stated on the “ZDF” microphones. However, he admitted that he was still in contact with Bayern’s honorary president Uli Hoeneß: “I keep in touch with Uli Hoeneß because we have been in contact for years and decades, but there was no meeting with Bayern Munich.”

“There was no meeting with Bayern Munich”

Eberl previously explained in an interview with “SID”: “It is known that I have a connection to Bayern Munich, it is my footballing cradle. I also have a connection to the city and also to Uli Hoeneß. That’s why my Name quickly associated with Bayern.”

However, the 49-year-old did not want to see more than indications in this chain of causality: “I have now come to the point that I only work with facts. The fact is: I have a contract in Leipzig. The fact is: There was no meeting with Bayern Munich.[…] It is also a fact that we are currently working very hard on the RB squad for the new season.”

However, it is no coincidence that Krösche and Eberl are traded. At the “SpoBis” in Düsseldorf, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, who shaped Bayern for decades and recently returned to the supervisory board, explained that people would prefer to see the “vacancy” closed “yesterday”. In addition, one will concentrate on personal details from Germany.
