In order to find a solution, Bayern were already looking for an exchange with the Ultras. “Parts of the southern curve from these blocks said they would organize it themselves. We gave them until January 6th. But I don’t really believe that,” said Dreesen. But he still hopes “that we can manage it so that those who are affected can organize it themselves.”

But Dreesen also made it unmistakably clear: “We don’t want to allow those who are supposed to be affected to organize cards somewhere else.” Specifically, 4,800 tickets are initially affected by the partial exclusion of fans imposed by UEFA. If FC Bayern actually decides to close the entire south curve, the number would almost double. And the team would have to play in front of a completely empty fan curve.

“A very difficult topic,” summarized Dreesen at the end of his remarks and once again addressed the fans directly. “I would really appeal to those who regularly do pyrotechnics to perhaps realize that they are harming the club,” said Dreesen. “And that it is not tolerated or accepted by the majority of fans in the stadium.”
