FC Bayern before bidding with Saudi club because of PSG star?

For a few weeks there have been rumors about FC Bayern’s interest in Marco Verratti from Paris Saint-Germain. Allegedly, the German record champions even want to take part in a bid with one of the financially strong Saudi Arabian clubs in order to secure the services of the PSG professionals.

At least that’s what the Catalan portal “El Nacional” wants to know. Accordingly, the Munich are ready to surpass the transfer fee offered by Al-Ahli in the amount of 30 million euros for Verratti.

The renowned trade journal “L’Équipe” recently reported on this amount, not without emphasizing that it was far too low for the PSG managers.

The French champions are said to be demanding a whopping 60 million euros for the Italian European champions.

In this context, FC Bayern was also mentioned again as one of the other possible buyers for Verratti.

However, it is unclear how interested those responsible at Säbener Straße really are in the 30-year-old midfielder.

“Sky” had already reported in May that the name Verratti had been discussed at Bayern Munich. In concrete terms, however, they will not make an effort for him. According to the Munich bosses, Verratti’s profile is too similar to that of Joshua Kimmich.

FC Bayern does not fulfill Thomas Tuchel’s wish

Instead, coach Thomas Tuchel still wants a so-called “holding six”, i.e. a defensively thinking clearer in front of the defense, which can ensure more balance in the game.

“Bild” football boss Christian Falk recently wrote on Twitter that there would be no new commitments in this position.

Apparently, the decision was made in the newly formed FC Bayern sports committee. He is responsible for squad planning during the current transfer period.

Saudi Arabia or FC Bayern? How things will continue for Verratti is, however, open. PSG reportedly have no more use for the Italian, who is said to not have the best relationship with superstar Kylian Mbappé.
