The transfer poker around Leroy Sané runs, but the club World Cup starts at the weekend. That is why FC Bayern is considering a special step.

Leroy Sané will probably travel to the United States for the club world championship in the USA despite the expiring contract. It is planned that the international will fly to Orlando together with other German national soccer players on Thursday.

According to information from the TV broadcaster Sky, the record champion is ready to offer the offensive player a short contract until the end of the tournament-if not yet a decision about his sporting future.

It is still open whether Sané extends his contract or leaves the club. Two top clubs from Istanbul apparently show concrete interest: According to Sky Sport, Galatasaray offers the offensive player an annual salary between ten and twelve million euros. Fenerbahçe therefore put around 15 million euros a year on the table.

There is also interest from England, Italy and Saudi Arabia. While Tottenham Hotspur plays no role in the report, FC Arsenal from London is still considered a possible option for Sané. So far, a switch to the Saudi Pro League has not been an issue for the 29-year-old.

According to Sky, Sané still feels comfortable in Munich and the German record champion. Bavaria’s offer to extend the contract is still available.

After a meeting with Sané’s new consultant Pini Zahavi, fixed content and bonus payments were adjusted in a possible contract until 2028. However, a decision is still pending.

Sané was trained in the youth of Wattenscheid 09 and Schalke 04 and switched from S04 to Manchester City for around 52 million euros in 2016. In 2020, he moved to FC Bayern for a transfer of around 49 million euros, with which he has won the German championship four times since then.
