A big season highlight is waiting for Tom Bischof (19) and Jonathan Tah (29) after the end of the season with the national team. The two players, although actually at TSG Hoffenheim or Bayer Leverkusen, can be under contract with FC Bayern to the upcoming club World Cup. There is now a financial agreement with the ex-clubs of the players, as the Munich-based company confirmed on Monday.
In summer, the TSG owner and the long-time Leverkusener would have gone to Bavaria either way. In June, when the club World Cup begins in the middle of the month, Bishop and Tah would have been under contract with their previous clubs for a few weeks. If the record champion wanted to take his future protégés to the tournament in the USA, the Hoffenheimer and the Leverkuseners insisted on a transfer. The Werkself could say that Bavaria could even get a million sum for Tah for a success-but at least according to the “Sky”, 800,000 euros will go to the runner-up. Hoffenheim is also a six -digit amount in the house.
For Bishop, Bayern agreed to pay at least around 300,000 euros, the “kicker” recently wrote. Here, too, the sum could grow thanks to bonuses. The Munich team had recently confirmed that the young professionals Maurice Krattenmacher (19) and Adam Aznou (18) already returned to the Bavarian squad for the club World Cup. The change from Bishop and Tah outside the official change period enables a transfer window set up by FIFA especially for the club World Cup teams.
For the German champion, participation in the club World Cup is extremely lucrative, which illustrates the relatively high payments to Hoffenheim for Bishop and Leverkusen for Tah. Both players could also be brought to Munich in a few weeks, instead Bavaria afford a million mark.
Through the entry fee for the tournament alone, FCB also occupies an entry fee with an additional bonus as a top European club of $ 30 million (just under EUR 28 million). In the event of sporting success, further bonuses are added; 2 million dollars for every win in the group games against Auckland City, Boca Juniors and Benfica Lisbon, 7.5 million for reaching the round of 16 and another 13 million for the quarter -finals. The tournament winner can take up to $ 125 million in total.
Bishop was first replaced by the DFB team in the Nations League game for third place in the German national team against France (0: 2). It was the final game of the international season after the failed semi -finals against Portugal, in which the young professional was allowed to run for just under half an hour. He was the third DFB debutant in 2025 after Yann Bisseck (24) and Nick Woltemade (23). In the European Championship year 2024, national coach Julian Nagelsmann added eleven newcomers.
