In 2023, Noah Darvich not only caused a sensation as the captain of the German U17 with the winning of the European and World Cup, but also with its 2.5 million euro switch from SC Freiburg to FC Barcelona. “Noah has been happy in Barcelona from the first day and is extremely matured as a person,” said father Boris Darvich in an interview with the “kicker”. His son is not yet allowed to speak to the media and should fully concentrate on athletic. The offensive talent fights for a regular place in the third-class Barça reserve, but is also the focus of professional trainer Hansi Flick.
Half a year-also due to the parking for the U17 World Cup-it took before Darvich gave his starting eleven debut for Barça B. But he couldn’t defend the place. Under Neu-coach Albert Sánchez, the DFB talent at Barça B is no longer allowed to act as tens, but has to go as a right wing. “I think he needs more freedom to make the difference, and in Barcelona the system is much more closed. “It is a hard way to do Noah around the same age at Barça at Barça. I always tell the boys at the base. Competitive sport is much connected and also consumes on a, ”says father Boris Darvich, who has been DFB base coach since 2017. “But we have the feedback from the club that they believe that Noah can do it with the professionals in view. The Youngster had this last November, when the patch of injury worries on the offensive. Darvich, who was already able to go on a trip in the summer preparation, was brought to the training of the professionals by the former national coach before the Laliga game at Celta Vigo (2: 2) and finally sat on the bench. His father does not believe that it is easier for him by the German trainer: “Noah has to work even harder, only the performance counts and there is no bonus.”

We have a very close relationship with four, plus noah and his brother Nuri Cousins as well as the grandparents and of course many friends in the immediate vicinity. In Freiburg he only had a one a year until the Abitur and after the 11th grade. It was a very big step, ”Boris Darvich recalled. “We are all firmly rooted as a larger family in our surroundings,” said father Darvich. “We would also have found it irresponsible to put as much pressure on a young person like Noah to have to feed the whole family with his sporting performance.” His son was “largely on his own, even if we have a lot of contact. My wife and I try that one of us is on site once a month for two or three days. ”But they also knew“ that Noah is ripe enough to organize his day and to structure his life. It was also important to us that in addition to his mother tongues, he had good Spanish knowledge in addition to English.
