Barcelona (dpa) – FC Barcelona around the German national soccer goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has taken an important step towards the Champions League. At the end of the 34th matchday, the Spanish top club won 2-1 (1-0) against RCD Mallorca at home in Camp Nou.
Four games before the end of the season, the second-placed team now has 66 points thanks to their 19th win of the season, nine points ahead of fifth-placed Real Betis Sevilla. Memphis Depay (25th minute) and Sergio Busquets (54th) scored the goals for coach Xavi Hernandez’s team. Antonio Raillo (79th) scored for the Mallorcans who were threatened with relegation.
