Barcelona (dpa) – FC Barcelona suffered another sensitive home defeat in the Primera Division. The Catalans lost 0-1 (0-1) to newly promoted Rayo Vallecano. Alavro Garcia scored the decisive goal in the seventh minute.
It was Barca’s third home defeat in a row.
Despite a number of chances and an overwhelming superiority, the hosts were unable to equalize against Vallecano. Even a 13-minute injury time didn’t help them anymore. Already in the first half of the season they had lost against the club from Madrid.
FC Barcelona missed out on getting closer to qualifying for the Champions League but remained in second place behind the all but established champions Real Madrid.
