FC Barcelona finds an alternative to Robert Lewandowski

FC Barcelona’s interest in Robert Lewandowski has caused a stir at Bayern in the past few days. However, apparently, the Catalans are far from sure they can really convince the Pole to make a move.

Like the Spanish”mark” writes that Barca is already looking for an alternative for the goal-getter if Lewandowski is not available in the summer.

In this case, according to the newspaper, a commitment from Romelu Lukaku should be sought. The Belgian attacker returned to Chelsea last summer for around 113 million euros. But he never really got a foothold there. For months there has been speculation about an imminent farewell.

FC Barcelona apparently wants to take advantage of this starting position and convince the 28-year-old to make a change. According to “Marca”, the Barca bosses have already met with the centre-forward’s advisors.

However, Lukaku’s price tag could complicate a possible transfer. Nevertheless, FC Barcelona apparently hopes that Chelsea will sell the striker at a bargain price.

Will Lewandowski join Barca from Bayern Munich?

A final decision can only be made once the new owners of the Blues have been determined. Chelsea FC is currently up for sale because Russian owner Roman Abramovich has been sanctioned by western countries over the Ukraine war.

Despite the recent rapprochement, Lukaku is only third on the Catalans’ internal wish list. According to the report, Erling Haaland from BVB and Robert Lewandowski from FC Bayern are ahead of him.

In particular, the rumors about the Bayern attacker had recently become more explosive. The Lewandowski side has been flirting with FC Barcelona for weeks. Agent Zahavi reportedly met with Barca sporting director Mateu Alemany on Wednesday, Spanish journalist Gerard Romero reported.

The top scorer in the Bundesliga is currently in contract talks with FC Bayern about his working paper, which expires in 2023.

According to “Bild” he is currently tending to leave. The newspaper recently speculated that Barca could lure the 33-year-old with an annual salary of up to 30 million euros. Under no circumstances does Bayern want to give up the top striker in the summer.
