The sequel could be expected for a long time as the sports comedy starred by Adam Sandler Happy Gilmore Originally published in 1996. The film, which became a cult phenomenon, told about a hockey player who, through coincidences, switches to golf.

76-year-old Weathers died in February 2024 before the film’s filming began. The cause of the death of the Weathers was the atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
Adam Sandler recently told News.com.au In an interview that the Weathers had been excited about their role when they returned. Sandler and a pair of screenwriter Tim Herlih We had to change the film’s script at the last minute alongside his sadness.
“We had to write it all new and try to give him honor,” Sandler said.
Sandler described Weathers in an interview as a “good person” and a close friend.
