The accident happened around seven. According to a bystander, the cyclist crossed at a crossing place with traffic lights. Emergency services were quickly on the spot, and a trauma team from Amsterdam was also called for help to the victim.
The place of the accident was protected by firefighters for some time. The consequences of the collision are clearly visible on photos: the window of the bus is considerably damaged.
Victim to the hospital
The driver of the Fatbike was rushed to the hospital and still unknown injuries, the police said.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident. Nothing is known about the identity of the victim, according to a spokesperson.
