Someone was killed in a stabbing in the center of Horst on Monday evening.
The stabbing incident happened around 19:30 on Sint Lambertusplein.
Trauma helicopter
The victim suffered serious injuries and was resuscitated, but to no avail. In addition to many police and ambulances, an air ambulance was also deployed. The identity of the victim is not yet known.
Carnival Activities
Immediately after the stabbing, all carnival activities in the center were shut down. The music went out, the cafes emptied, everyone went home. Some people cried and were comforted by others.
It is unknown if a suspect is in the picture. It is not yet clear what exactly happened. The square has been cordoned off. The police are investigating.
