FASFC recalls Milcobel Moorslede products after listeria contamination | Inland

The Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FAVV) recalls a series of Milcobel Moorslede products after a listeria contamination in the factory. This is what the FASFC reports on Monday evening. The contamination with the listeria bacterium came to light last week, but it now appears that contaminated products may also have left the factory.

After extensive research by the FASFC at Milcobel, which produces different types of cheese, it appears that there are some problems within the production of the company. The FASFC is therefore recalling a number of products because they may contain listeria.

“The FASFC expects Milcobel to identify all affected products as soon as possible and to continue to inform consumers. The FASFC will ensure that the company takes its responsibilities to protect and inform consumers,” it said on Monday evening. FASFC. The Food Agency also calls on retail companies to remove the affected cheeses from the shelves as soon as possible.
