The national team scored a total of 827 goals, 3 of which were forfeited, in 260 away, 266 home and 83 neutral matches, 871 goals were scored in the goal.

Competing with the national teams of 91 different countries so far, the national teams played 526 of 609 matches with representatives of Europe, 33 of them from Asia, 24 of them from Africa, 23 of them from America and 3 of them with Oceania.

The Nationals won their only forfeited victory in 609 matches against Greece. The special match between Turkey and Greece, held on 17 November 2015 at Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium, ended 0-0. 6 months after this match, FIFA registered the match 3-0 in favor of Turkey on the grounds that Greece played illegal football players.

On the other hand, the special match that Turkey played with Kosovo on May 21, 2014 and won 6-1 away, was not taken into consideration because Kosovo was not a member of UEFA and FIFA at that time.

A national football team will face the Faroe Islands for the third time in its history.

The first match between the two teams was played on 15 July 1991 in the Faroe Islands. The private match ended 1-1. Hami Mandıralı scored the only goal of the crescent-star team under the management of Sepp Piontek in the 75th minute.
