The reason for the protest is “the ever-increasing regulations that do not take farmers into account and that weigh on their income from Flanders, Belgium and Europe,” it said.
In concrete terms, farmers choose the port of Zeebrugge as a location for their protest “because the industry is allowed to emit 40 times more than we as farmers”.
