But where the Dolomites once symbolized silence and majestic tranquility, today the chaos of mass tourism prevails. And the local farmers? They are tired of it. Moegermerged. Their meadows are completely flattened, they say. And so they have installed toll gates: five euros per person. No ticket, no view.
