Hamburger SV is one of the largest clubs in Germany. In the news ticker on t-online you will find all the important news about the “Rothosen”.
Does Hamburger SV have to look for a new goalkeeper during the winter break? The current number two, Daniel Peretz, is apparently thinking of saying goodbye early. “It’s obvious that I’m disappointed that I’m not playing in Hamburg. I didn’t think I wouldn’t be used. It was actually clear that I would play,” he told the TV station “Sport 5” after Israel’s international match against Norway (0-5).
Peretz has been playing on loan at HSV for a season since the summer; the 25-year-old is actually under contract with FC Bayern Munich. He is fighting the situation mentally. “Maybe there will be a change in January because I really want to play,” Peretz continued.
On Saturday, Hamburger SV and Werder Bremen will meet for the first time in the women’s Bundesliga. It is a special duel for HSV striker Christin Meyer: She came back to the Elbe from her green and white rivals in 2024.
In a club interview, Meyer was “totally excited” for the game. She played for Werder Bremen for three years (53 games, four goals). “Overall, I matured a lot as a player and as a person during my time in Bremen and learned a lot,” she said.
Christin Meyer expects a “competitive, exciting northern derby”. More than 1,000 HSV fans are traveling to Bremen – that makes them “very proud and grateful”. “I hope that this euphoria remains and continues to grow.”
After five games, the northern clubs are close together: Werder is eighth in the table with seven points, HSV follows in ninth place with five points. Meyer draws a positive interim conclusion: “Our greatest strength at the moment is our absolute will and willingness to leave everything on the pitch. Added to that is our unpredictability,” she said.
Former HSV professional Jeremy Dudziak has found a new club – he is now playing for Hertha BSC again. The 30-year-old had been playing for the capital club since 2023 before his contract expired at the end of June and was not initially extended. Dudziak is currently recovering from a long-term hip injury that has left him unable to play in a game for more than a year.
The left-back, who can also play in central and attacking midfield, should first gain match practice with Hertha’s U23s in the Northeast Regional League. Jeremy Dudziak has played 17 competitive games for the Hertha professionals so far. The last time the Hamburg native was on the pitch was against HSV of all teams – in a 1-1 draw at Volkspark on August 10, 2024.
