The changes at Galeria do not tear off.

After switching to the top of the company, the position of the Head of Controlling & Treasury is said to have been filled. Florian Mellert, who has held this function for around a year and a half, is said to have left the company, as various industry media, including the financial magazine Dertreazerer, report. Galeria has not yet responded to a request from Fashionunited.

According to his profile in the LinkedIn career network, Mellert came to Galeria in January 2024. The manager previously worked for three and a half years as Director Controlling at the German Outdoor outfitter Jack Wolfskin and more than eleven years in various positions at the fashion group Esprit. Now he is said to have left the department store group again.

A successor has apparently already been determined that the position of the Head of Controlling & Treasury is to be taken over by Stefan Gründel in the future. For Gründel this means a return to Galeria. From 2008 to 2019 he worked in various roles for the department store group. He has been at The Berner Group since his farewell, most recently as VP Corporate Controlling.
