Inter Milan extends its lead in Serie A. However, the game is overshadowed by a dangerous incident.
Inter Milan remains the measure of all things in the Italian Serie A, but the Nerazzurri fans have caused a scandal. In the 2-0 (2-0) win at US Cremonese, a firecracker was thrown onto the pitch from the Inter block in the 49th minute towards home goalkeeper Emil Audero. The 29-year-old initially fell to the ground.
The Inter professionals reacted immediately and complained loudly to their own supporters. After a break of several minutes due to Audero’s treatment, the game was able to continue.
In terms of sport, the Italian champions dominated the event. Captain Lautaro Martínez gave the “Nerazzurri” the lead in the 16th minute. Piotr Zieliński increased the score to 2-0 before the break in the 31st minute. After 23 games, the lead over second-placed AC Milan is eight points. However, the city rival can still reduce the gap as it only competes in Bologna on Tuesday.
