Trouble after the second division game: Last Saturday, following the basement duel in the 2nd Bundesliga between Greuther Fürth and Eintracht Braunschweig (0:0) Fans of both clubs beaten. The Middle Franconian police announced this on Thursday. Investigations into grievous bodily harm are ongoing. The police are looking for witnesses.
According to the information, the altercation occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the Laubenweg/Alte Reutstrasse area in Fürth. Around ten people from both fan groups were involved. An 18-year-old Fürth supporter is said to have been kicked in the head.
The young man suffered abrasions but refused medical treatment. Two other Fürth fans also suffered minor injuries. Two Braunschweig supporters aged 36 and 42, who were also met by the police, said they were uninjured.
The officers took blood from the away fans on the orders of the public prosecutor. They also took photos. Everyone involved was then fired.
The exact course of the crime and the individual involvement in the crime are still largely unclear, as the police announced. Witnesses are asked to call 0911/75905-0. Officers are also asking anyone with video footage of the fight for information.
