“The football triangle (police, Public Prosecution Service and municipality, ed.) examines each time whether, and if so, at which location a meeting point or any other administrative measures are necessary to maintain public order and safety in the center as best as possible. We also want to limit nuisance in the center (Paardenmarkt) as much as possible,” said a spokesperson.
The municipality expects few problems with the Slovak fans. “At this time there is no such increased risk to public order and safety that more measures are necessary.”
Extra police deployment
The city beach opens its doors to Slovan fans at 2 p.m. and from 7 p.m. they will be transported to the stadium by bus. Local residents and other Alkmaar residents are asked to take into account nuisance, including noise and traffic. Extra police will be deployed to ensure everything runs smoothly.
